Quanset Harbor Club (QHC) is a seaside homeowners’ association situated along Pleasant Bay in historic Orleans on Cape Cod. Located at ‘the elbow’ of the lower Cape, we are at the southern-most end of the Cape Cod National Seashore. QHC is located along Quanset Pond, a small fragile inlet on the north side of Pleasant Bay. The association owns much of the beach frontage along Quanset Pond, and maintains a private dock as well as a mooring field through the Orleans Harbormaster.
QHC Association is foremost a home for more than 50 families, including summer residents, and visitors from all over the world. The area is a great place for fresh and saltwater recreational sports with access to the open Atlantic Ocean. Winding through the QHC properties are fresh and saltwater ponds, native grass and woodland areas, and secluded walking trails. Numerous species of birds flourish in this area, as well as other woodland creatures and wildlife.
Our association is a non-profit organization chartered under the laws of Massachusetts and operating with a formal set of by-laws that are revised periodically. Membership is comprised of property owners within the association area. Each property owner has a vote in the association’s affairs. Elected officers and directors administer and maintain its road systems, parks, and beaches for the use of members, their families, and guests. The Association is funded by annual dues from its membership, a portion of which is used for long term capital projects.
